The concept of this lash and beauty bar was driven by the desire to create a supremely feminine retro glam feel. A bold neon sign, globe pendants, and pill-shaped mirrors were used to create a retro feel. In going with the concept of the client’s business name, “LashPop”, we used the light fixtures conceptually, to serve as a bubble shape, before it “pops” and creates a “drip”, that was mimicked in the design of the wall covering. After a pop, comes a drip-down effect, that we wanted to capture in large scale in this studio. Wall paneling in an orthogonal vertical orientation were installed in the back area, to compliment the vertical drip effect of the design in the wallpaper. In keeping with this feel, we used installed rose gold glass tiles in a vertical stack layout in the front area reception desk. Calacatta Quartz countertops were installed to create a soft, and luxe feel, to allow the surrounding elements to pop. In keeping with the retro feel, we decided to go with a full penny-tile backsplash in the bathroom; in keeping up with the round globe shapes throughout, on a micro-level format.
