The concept of this primary bathroom was rooted in the clients’ desire to have a spa-like feel throughout the area, with a modern flair. Following demolition, we added a touch of wood [with the floating vanity] to create a warmth, to break-up all of the neutral colored tiles, that we added in on the flooring, and walls. The canvas for the vanity mirror was a 1×8 speckled, vertical stacked tile, to add an organic element into this area, and break-up the monochromatic feel of the neutral-colored tile. Vessel porcelain sinks and matte black plumbing fixtures were added in the vanity area, as well as in the freestanding tub, and shower area. In the wall-to-wall linear niche, we integrated color-changing LED lighting that was able to be controlled remotely. In the shower, the clients requested two shower heads, and body-sprays to create the spa-like effect that they desired. The bench has a quartz top, that is integrated into the frameless tempered glass. We included a matte black towel-warmer on the wall, to add to the spa-like feel of the area.
