The clients’ desire for this bathroom was to design a space for their young daughter, that was elegant yet functional for a young girl, to grow into over the years. With this in mind, we added in a walk-in shower, with flush mosaic flooring (to mitigate slip risk), frameless tempered glass with brushed brass detailing in the hardware, and a large linear niche for storage. The walls of the shower, and surrounding walls were covered with 12×24 gold calacatta porcelain tile. For the bespoke millwork and toilet area, we included a floor to ceiling backsplash in a chevron patterned gold calacatta porcelain tile. In the middle storage unit, we integrated open-shelving, with a built-in, pull-out laundry unit in the lower area. The diamond-shaped reeded design in the door panels, speaks to the diamond-shaped base of the wall sconces on each side of the mirror. Brushed brass plumbing fixtures and hardware were added to create a timeless, glam feel.
