The clients’ desire was to change around the entire layout of the existing kitchen and neighboring dining room, into a kitchen that had an “open area”, and a “hidden area”, with a speak-easy style, flush door that was integrated into a wall, to appear as a panel, which led into the “hidden area” (formerly the dining room). In the open area, we used all panel-ready appliances; which included a 5’ wide Dacor brand refrigerator and freezer, 4 Fulgor Milano brand warming drawers in the base cabinet area, a Thermador gas range top, and a paneled range hood; with open wood shelving, on the sides. In the island, we included a stainless undermount sink, a Dacor brand panel-ready dishwasher, and a Thermador brand microwave drawer. Porcelain was fabricated and installed as both the backsplash and countertops.
